Liv said it in one sentence: “I fell into a black hole.”

After her cancer treatment there was nothing. No follow-up, no plan, no guidance. The system that treated her left her alone for everything that came afterwards. She had to fight alone all over again.

That was the starting point of RevOnc.

Yorin De Smet is a physiotherapist. After his studies at UGent and internships in oncological rehabilitation, he saw the same pattern: patients were discharged with a pamphlet and left to their own devices. He decided to build what no one else was building.

RevOnc was founded in 2024 in Ghent. A pilot study at AZorg Aalst with significant results. Support from VLAIO and Vocatio. The goal: a world in which someone like Liv can genuinely rebuild her life.
